Vertically Challenged

hmm.. let's see if this is true~

'Sleep is when your body is producing its highest amount of growth hormone.'

'Growth hormone is a chemical substance produced in the pituitary gland that, along with the thyroid hormone, supports proper growth, development, and repair in our bodies.'

So, you could be having the best mind-blowing workouts of your life but get no growth from it if you party all night at your favourite club or yam cha at mamak stalls and hardly get to have some quality sleep. In my case, as an IAD student.. staying up all night and sleepless rally to finish up neverending assignments and models...hmm.. if it's not for all these, I would probably be getting more sleep during the weekends!.. hey.. I’m only human :)

Unfortunately, with today’s busy 'lifestyle' and my procrastination attitude sometimes, plus the distractions from MSN, Scrabble on ISC and Facebook.. most of us are happy to even get 6 hours of sleep a day. I sometimes only get 4 to 5, but then try to make up for it the next day by sleeping in for awhile longer. Sometimes.. just no sleep at all!! Whether it helps or not, I dont really know for sure - but I’ve got no choice and I don’t have the luxury to sleep that much! Aye?

Hmm.. does that explain why I am so damn short?~ lack of sleep? so therefore, minimum production of GH? therefore, I'm stunted since highschool? I had not grow an inch since form 4 ler!!! come on la!! people around me are towering me one by one~ I feel so dwarfy standing by them~ hmm..

Sleep tight everyone… cos it’s time to grow.
